The University of Sydney and the China Scholarship Council offer two prestigious programs to support Chinese Scholars.
Originally founded by gifts in 1867 and 1883 from Sir George Wigram Allen for the encouragement of the study of law, the Wigram Allen Scholarships now provide commencing scholarships for the Juris Doctor program, including a scholarship awarded to international students based on academic merit.
Applications are accepted all year round and will remain current for 12 months.
The scholarships are worth between $3000 and $5000 per year and may continue for up to four years.
The Australia Awards are prestigious international scholarships funded by the Australian Government and administered by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) that aim to contribute to the long term development needs of Australia's partner countries, in line with bilateral and regional agreements.
