Students who have completed a Certificate in Engagement with International Association for Public Participation (IAP2) may be eligible to receive Credit for 1 unit (3 Credit Points) with relevant work experience into the Engagement Stream.

Alternate entry pathways are available to IAP2 graduates without Bachelor's qualifications in accordance with the Admission (for Undergraduate and Postgraduate Coursework Courses) Procedure.

Entrants to graduate entry programs have a discipline-specific bachelor or equivalent qualification relevant to the Australian Curriculum or other recognised areas of schooling provision including for primary teaching, at least one year of full-time equivalent study relevant to one or more learning areas of the primary school curriculum.

Note: Enrolment into the full-time or part-time study is conditional on the study patterns being followed. Any variation to these patterns must be approved BEFORE enrolment by the respective Faculty of Education Program Director.

Entry Requirements

Applications for international students for Semester 1 2024 have closed.

A completed bachelor's degree or postgraduate degree in any discipline with a credit or higher average*.

* Applicants without a degree but with a combination of pre-tertiary qualifications and work experience or professional membership (Equivalent Graduate Status) may apply.

Domestic applicants
Applications from domestic applicants will be accepted on a yearly basis from 1 May of the preceding year and close on 31 December of the preceding year. Applicants who are eligible for an offer will be placed on a waitlist and offers will be released in rounds on the first business day of each month commencing in November. Any applicant who is not successful in the round, will remain on a waitlist for further rounds while vacancies exist.

Limited Commonwealth-supported places (CSPs) are available for this course and will be awarded on academic merit. To be considered for a CSP, please submit your application by 1 December 2023. Eligible applicants will be notified from 15 December 2023. The University will continue to issue fee-paying (FEE) offers until this date, offers for any eligible CSP applicants will be updated accordingly.

International applicants
Applications from international applicants will be accepted on a yearly basis from 1 May of the preceding year and close on 15 October of the preceding year. Applicants who are eligible for an offer will be placed on a waitlist and offers will be released in rounds on the first business day of each month commencing in July. Any applicant who is not successful in the round, will remain on a waitlist for further rounds while vacancies exist.
