Entry Requirements
Admission to candidature requires: (i) a bachelor's degree with honours in an appropriate area of study from the University of Sydney, or equivalent qualification; or (ii) a Master of Education by coursework from the University of Sydney with a weighted average mark of at least 75, or equivalent qualification.

Entry Requirements
All candidates are required to have achieved a grade point average of 70% in their final year of university study prior to admission into the Master of Education (Research) degree. Candidates need to submit a research proposal (500-1000 words) addressing criteria specified by the faculty, and have one of the following qualifications:
a Bachelor degree in an appropriate area of study and a Bachelor of Teaching/Master of Teaching degree or equivalent, or
a Bachelor degree plus a one-year Diploma of Education in an appropriate area of study, or
a four year Bachelor of Education degree or Bachelors degree deemed by the faculty to be equivalent and of a standard acceptable to the faculty.

To be eligible for admission to the Master of Philosophy applicants must also meet the following specific requirements.
Applicants to the master's program are expected to satisfy the following criteria:
Possession of a Bachelor's degree (AQF level 7 qualification); or
In exceptional circumstances, an equivalent academic or professional background that is considered by the National Head of School to be an appropriate preparation for independent study and research work at master's level.
An applicant may be required to satisfy the National Head of School of the ability to understand and communicate in both written and spoken English at a level adequate for the purpose of pursuing the program of study.
Students who are enrolled at another tertiary institution may apply to undertake one or more units of study at the University of Sydney Business School to be credited towards their degree.
