Course Description

This program will give you the knowledge, skills and practical experience to teach personal development, health and physical education (PDHPE) in secondary schools.

With a strong focus on practical workplace training, your coursework is enhanced by more than four months of practical experience. You’ll learn first hand how to tackle everyday teaching challenges during two placements of four weeks each, as well as school visits and a nine‑week internship in a high school. As part of the final internship you will also complete a professional research project.

During the course, you will:
- develop the skills and knowledge to create innovative teaching programs that cater for diverse student needs
- be ready to teach after on-the-job training, by enhancing your studies with more than four months of secondary school placements
- be mentored by teaching staff who are internationally renowned researchers and practitioners.

Tuition Fees

Australian Fee Paying (AFP): $24,000 total course cost.Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP): $6,349 total course cost.
