Applicants for the Graduate Certificate in Intelligence Analysis need to satisfy one or more of the following criteria:

• Be working as an intelligence practitioner in a law enforcement, national security, regulatory, or commercial agency.
• Demonstrate professional experience in one or more intelligence practitioner contexts (strategic, operational, or tactical intelligence).
• Have completed a relevant Charles Sturt University intelligence short course, or an industry based course recognised by Charles Sturt University.
• Hold an undergraduate or post-graduate qualification in criminology, justice, or security studies.
• Satisfy the Course Director of other skills or professional qualifications that would make the candidate eligible for entrance into the course.

An applicant for admission to the Graduate Certificate in Education must have at least the following minimum qualifications:

1. A bachelor degree (AQF Level 7 or equivalent) in any discipline, and a minimum of two years of professional experience in a field related to education; or
2. Qualifications and/or professional experience deemed equivalent under the AQF, with completion of any additional qualifying subjects or courses as prescribed by the Faculty.

To be eligible for admission, applicants will need:

• A completed Bachelor degree or higher qualification from a recognised Australian tertiary institution (or equivalent) OR Two years relevant work experience.
• Upon successful completion of the Graduate Certificate, students will be eligible for admission to relevant Masters course and receive credit for applicable subjects as per Charles Sturt credit policy.

Entry requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Paramedicine from a university or tertiary education provider (or equivalent)
• Professional experience and practising as a specialist paramedic with 12 months of full-time experience with evidence of Authority to Practice issued by an ambulance service (or equivalent)

Applicants must have a master degree by coursework and research experience; or a master degree by research or hold an equivalent qualification from a recognised Australian tertiary institution or hold an international qualification deemed to be equivalent as determined by NOOSR.

To gain entry to the program students will normally have achieved a credit average (or equivalent) in their masters (or equivalent) studies as a demonstration of their capacity to undertake postgraduate work at an advanced level.

In addition to acceptable academic qualifications, an applicant for admission shall:

• have at least five years of full time (or equivalent) practice in Public Safety or in a cognate area, some of which must be current

Variation to admission requirements based on recognition of prior learning will be assessed by the HDR Coordinator in consultation with the Sub Dean Graduate Studies, Faculty of Business, Justice and Behavioural Sciences.

An applicant for admission to the Doctor of Public Safety may be accepted without the qualifications specified above if the applicant has some other appropriate combination of undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications and/or professional performance which demonstrate they are capable of undertaking research at a Doctoral level. These admission requirements are necessary to ensure that candidates have sufficient academic ability and professional experience to conduct research that leads to advanced, critical reflection on professional practice.

To be admitted in the Diploma of Health Science (Mental Health), applicants will:

• be of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background; AND
• demonstrate an aptitude to undertake this course through previous life experiences in the field of health and Indigenous issues. This would be demonstrated by a letter from the applicant explaining why they have an interest in working with the social and emotional wellbeing of Indigenous communities.

Entry requirements

• A completed High School Certificate with the minimum ATAR required (including adjustment factors) or equivalent.
• Successful completion of two university level subjects (AQF level Associate Degree or higher) demonstrating a reasonable prospect of success through the Grade Point Average (GPA) gained in these studies.
• A completed AQF Certificate III or higher level qualification.
• A completed Tertiary Preparation Course from an Australian University or an accredited provider demonstrating a reasonable prospect of success through the Grade Point Average (GPA) gained in these studies.
• Prior to commencement of the first placement, students are required to provide evidence of their immunisation and vaccination status, and evidence of certification for Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and Anaphylaxis management, a completed Australian National Police Check, and a Working With Children Check.
• Students will be required to purchase a clinical uniform and instruments at the beginning of Year 1 of this course. Additional expenses will be incurred for attending external work-integrated learning (WIL) placements and intensive schools including return travel and accommodation in all years of the course.
• To complete a proportion of the clinical hours in this course, students will require access to a registered podiatrist for supervision purposes. This might be at a podiatry clinic local to the student's home or could be in the on-campus university clinic.
• IELTS (academic module) with a minimum overall score of 7 and a minimum score of 7 in each of the four components (listening, reading, writing and speaking) or equivalent test (including PTE, OET and TOEFL iBT).
• We will accept ELP scores over a maximum of two test sittings in a six-month period only if:
• The student has achieved a minimum overall score of 7 in IELTS (or equivalent test) in each sitting, and
• Achieved a minimum individual score of 7 in IELTS in each component across the two sittings, and
• No score in any component of the test is below 6.5 in IELTS.
• If sitting the test over two sittings, results must be from the same acceptable test. For example, both IELTS tests.
• Attended and satisfactorily completed either an undergraduate degree or at least four years of any combination of secondary or tertiary education, including at least two years between years 9 to 12, taught and assessed solely in English in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Republic of Ireland, South Africa, UK or USA.
