The Graduate Certificate in Forensic Fingerprint Investigation is only available to specifically nominated officers in an approved police service who have been selected to enrol in the program as part of their professional training.
Entry Requirements

This Graduate Certificate will only be available to current serving members of an approved police service who will be nominated for admission by the police service. All applicants must:

  • be officers employed in the approved police service and
  • have satisfactorily completed initial training/Phase 1 proficiencies and assessments as required by the police service.

Graduate Certificate

This program prepares clinicians to participate in and contribute to emerging models of primary maternity care. The program will provide an overview of the health environment including the development and implementation of policy in this area.
Entry Requirements

While the Graduate Certificate in Primary Maternity Care is mainly designed for registered midwives, it is also available to other health professionals in the maternity services sector.

All applicants seeking to undertake the Graduate Certificate in Primary Maternity Care must hold:

  • a Bachelor degree (or equivalent) in a suitable professional health practice discipline such as midwifery, medicine, nursing or social work from a recognised tertiary institution.

The School of Nursing and Midwifery has instituted a Recognition of Prior Experience (RPE) procedure for registered midwives who do not have an undergraduate qualification. Applicants will be assessed on their ability to demonstrate eligibility requirements. The School of Nursing and Midwifery will determine eligibility for admission into the requested program based on application, curriculum vitae and referee reports.

Graduate Certificate

The Graduate Certificate in Communication (via Open Universities Australia) will consist of four core courses. These core courses offer students a broad understanding of the discipline.

To be eligible for admission to the Graduate Certificate in Communication, applicants must have:

Entry Requirements

To be eligible for admission to the Master of Business Administration (MBA), an applicant must:

  • hold any Bachelor degree (or higher) from a recognised University (or another tertiary education institution of equivalent standing) with a minimum GPA of 4.5 (using a 7.0 point scale) and have a minimum of three years equivalent full-time work experience post-degree which includes
    • two years of relevant work experience and
    • one year in a role demonstrating leadership experience
  • OR hold a Griffith Graduate Certificate in Business Administration (or an equivalent qualification) with a minimum GPA of 4.5. Students with a Griffith Graduate Certificate in Business Administration will receive 40 credit points of credit.

Leadership can include direct supervisory experience and/or change management in an organisational or project-specific setting.

If you do not meet the required GPA for direct admission, you may submit the result of the Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT). The minimum requirement for GMAT is an overall score of 550.

Evidence of work experience must include a detailed work history (roles, responsibilities and achievements).

Upon request, applicants may be asked to provide:

  • An Applicant Statement of Leadership Experience (maximum 750 words). To demonstrate relevance of work experience, applicants will need to provide a statement detailing examples of applied leadership skills and how their experiences will be complemented by the MBA along with a sound knowledge of the Griffith Business School values.

The Master of Suicidology provides an extension to the existing Graduate Certificate in Suicidology currently offered by the Australian Institute for Suicide Research and Prevention (AISRAP).
Entry Requirements

Entry to the Master of Suicidology program requires students to hold:

  • a Bachelor degree in a related field such as medical, social or behavioural science, psychological sciences, social work, community welfare, human services, public health, nursing, education, criminology, anthropology, law
  • OR a Bachelor Honours, Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma qualification in a different discipline area
