The following entry requirements apply to this program:
Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia or provisional registration, whichever is applicable at the time of commencement
Nursing or other appropriate degree or the equivalent
If you are a Registered nurse already working in the perioperative environment of one of our affiliated health services caring for patients recovering from major operations, the Graduate Diploma of Perioperative Nursing from The University of Notre Dame Australia could be the qualification for you.

Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia or provisional registration, whichever is applicable at the time of commencement
Nursing of other appropriate degree or the equivalent
Minimum of one year relevant post registration nursing experience
Currently working as a Registered Nurse in the perioperative environment of a partnership facility
Current employment contract for the term of the program with an approved health service.
The Australian College of Nursing’s (ACN) National Immunisation Program for Healthcare Practitioners course is based on the National Immunisation Education Framework for Health Professionals (2017) and has been accredited by the ANMAC subsidiary Health Education Services Australia (HESA) to deliver this course. HESA is the National body for health education accreditation and ACN is the first institution to have its Immunisation course accredited.

Entry Requirements
Specific program requirements for admission are dependent on which pathway into the Program you require.
The Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia determines the eligibility to undertake a Re-entry or Bridging program.
All applicants must have a Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
Applicants for 'Re-entry' or 'Bridging' pathways must have a valid AHPRA referral letter; the letter must be valid for the duration of the program and an additional 4 weeks following completion
Applicants must provide evidence of meeting the English language proficiency* requirements for postgraduate degrees
All applicants must have a valid national police certificate and criminal record screening check
Non Australian citizens are required to provide a criminal record check from country of origin and any country resided in after the age of 16
International applicants must hold a valid Australian visa until course completion
If unable to provide a Police Certificate from your home country or any country you have resided in since turning 16 years of age, a Statutory Declaration must be completed. This Declaration must state that you have no pending criminal charges or convictions from your home country or any country that you have resided in. If you do have such records, you must list date of any offences, the type of offence and the court outcome.
Applicants must provide evidence of meeting the English language proficiency requirements for postgraduate degrees. Applicants must also meet the English language skills registration standard set out by NMBA.
The Graduate Diploma in Cancer and Haematology Nursing aims to assist nurses who care for people affected by cancer and haematological illness to develop their knowledge and skills for their care. Students will investigate the biology of cancer and haematology and associated treatments.

Admission to this course requires:
a pre-registration nursing degree with credit average from the University of Sydney or equivalent qualification; or
an embedded graduate certificate or graduate diploma in this discipline from the University of Sydney or equivalent qualification.
In addition, the applicant is required to be a registered nurse in Australia or overseas.
Domestic applicants
Domestic applicants are required to have a minimum of one year's experience as a registered nurse and be working in cancer and haematology nursing.
International applicants
International applicants are required to have a minimum of one year's experience in cancer and haematology nursing.

The Graduate Diploma of Emergency Nursing aims to develop the specialist knowledge and skills required to work closely with patients and their families who are confronted with trauma, accidents or acute and unexpected illnesses.
Entry Requirements
Admission to this course requires the applicant to:
have a pre-registration nursing degree from the University of Sydney or equivalent qualification with a credit average; or
have a graduate diploma or graduate certificate in this discipline from the University of Sydney or equivalent qualification.

Domestic applicants
Domestic applicants are required to have a minimum of one year's experience as a registered nurse, be working in emergency nursing and provide a statement of support from their supervisor or manager in order to undertake the required clinical assessments.
International applicants
International applicants are required to have a minimum of one year's experience in emergency nursing and have a choice of providing a statement of support from their supervisor if they wish to undertake the required clinical assessments in their home country, or else the clinical assessments can be undertaken at the Sydney Nursing School under simulated conditions.
