Doctor of Communication overview
Currently there are only three Australian universities offering a PhD program in communication: the Australian National University, Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, and Charles Sturt University. All programs take on average between 3 and 4 years to complete.

Prerequisites and selection process
This will depend on your university, but you will likely have to have a master’s of communication or equivalent, as well as submit a thesis proposal to a supervisory board.
