The Executive Master of Public Administration (EMPA) is designed to assist future leaders develop the management and policy skills needed in today's public sector.
Entry Requirements
To be eligible for admission to this program, an applicant must satisfy the following criteria:
have at least five years relevant work experience (this requirement may be waived in special circumstances at the discretion of ANZSOG and the Academic Board), and
must be currently working as a public servant in a government body that is a member of ANZSOG, and
have been accepted as a candidate for the degree by ANZSOG
Having satisfied ANZSOG criteria students admitted to this Griffith program must also satisfy the following criteria:
have a bachelors degree in any discipline from an Australian or New Zealand University (or equivalent)
OR hold a Graduate Certificate or equivalent qualification in a related field (i.e. Bachelor Honours or Graduate Diploma) from a recognised University (or another tertiary education institution of equivalent standing) with a minimum GPA of 4.0 (using a 7.0 scale).
Study in-person or online In 2024, all graduate courses offered by the Crawford School will be available for either in-person or online study. All students are expected to attend live sessions at particular times each week for their courses. Crawford online courses are not 'study at your own pace'.
