Master of Project Management courses are available to students who want a more comprehensive understanding of project management. These courses tend to take two years or more depending on whether it is taken full time or not.
With an advanced understanding of the discipline comes greater opportunity for career advancement. Master level graduates can be employed in project management positions normally reserved for those with extensive industry experience.
There are general scholarships available to students in both research and coursework masters degrees, but due to the fact project management only has coursework degrees, financing is a little more limited. Project management students are still eligible for standard business student scholarships like the Gallipoli Scholarship Fund, however.
The Master of Project Management tends not to have the GPA requirement of other Master level courses, making it more accessible. Institutions like RMIT University and Central Queensland University both require just a bachelor’s degree in any field or a diploma in project management.
