The Master of Professional Psychology provides you with one year of the two-year registration process for psychologists. Once you have completed your second year and become fully registered, you'll be ready to make a real difference to people's lives in:

  • Counselling

  • Hospitals and other mental health services

  • Education

  • Law and corrections

  • Family and community-based services
  • Private practice
Psychologist (with further study)

Registered psychologists evaluate and diagnose mental health patterns and provide consultation. Interning is available at organisations such as the Department of Family & Community Services, and the Department of Aging Disabilities & Home Care.

Occupational Psychologist

Occupational Psychologists apply psychological principles and techniques to study occupational behaviour, working conditions and organisational structure, and solve problems of work performance and organisational design.

Educational Psychologist

Educational Psychologists investigate learning and teaching, and develop psychological techniques to foster the development and skills of individuals and groups in educational settings.

Academia

Academia involves being a Lecturer and/or Tutor as well as undertaking world-class research in psychology. As a teaching academic you prepare and deliver lectures and conduct tutorials in one or more subjects within a prescribed program of study and conduct research in psychology.
