The course offers a comprehensive and holistic set of skills in the strategic and tactical aspects of operations, logistics, procurement and supply chain management. Students emerge from the course with contemporary and relevant knowledge that allows them to manage complex business and supply chain operations that may extend globally.

This enables students to address the ever-growing interest among business managers and academics in supply chains, the emergence of advanced service economies, connected information systems including disruptive technologies, cloud computing and data analytics, new management practices and approaches, and the pressure of global competition.

The Extension course with additional subject choices provides the opportunity to specialise more deeply in the core strategic and tactical aspects of network and logistics network design, as well as the systematic application of improvement methodology within operations, procurement and supply chain processes which help reduce variability and uncertainty through the supply chain, enabling better control of product and service qualities. All subjects have research-focused content and assessment tasks and are well-connected to industry partners for real industry experience.
