Graduate Diploma
The Graduate Diploma in Science is designed for two distinct groups of students, namely the professional scientists wishing to update their industry-related skills for career advancement and students considering a research degree or further education who wish to first undertake a smaller study program. The core professional stream provides a customisable suite of the skills required, and important to a professional scientist; be they engaged in research, science businesses, industries or government organisations. Elective choices enable students to choose a study focus or build upon their existing training and knowledge.
Depending on the area of study, graduates can pursue careers with private and public agencies, such as medical and health, environmental, mathematical modelling, financial and risk management.
The course requires 48 credit points of study, comprising 24 credit points of professional stream subjects and 24 credit points of electives.
