Graduate Certificate
The Graduate Certificate in Financial Planning is a unique modular experience designed for current and aspiring financial planning professionals. The certificate includes three bridging courses required by the Financial Adviser Standards and Ethics Authority (FASEA) for existing advisers. For students looking to become financial advisers, the graduate certificate provides a pathway to the FASEA approved graduate diploma in Financial Planning. The certificate addresses many of the dimensions of the professional profile of modern financial planners.
The course has been designed to suit the needs of professionals who currently work full time: most subjects are delivered in a mix of online learning and face-to-face interaction over two weekends. The block mode structure means that students can cover the content and complete the assessments for most subjects in a six-week period. This combines the convenience of online learning with the rich experience of class interaction with a group of highly motivated and engaged peers.
The course is intended for both current and aspiring financial planners. The three core subjects have been approved as bridging subjects by the Financial Adviser Standards and Ethics Authority (FASEA). The Graduate Certificate provides a transition to the UTS Graduate Diploma of Financial Planning which is an approved FASEA degree.
The course totals 24 credit points comprising three core subjects (totalling 18 credit points) plus elective subjects (totalling 6 credit points).
