The UTS Executive MBA in Entrepreneurship (EMBAe) helps you gain the necessary skills and meet the right people to develop your entrepreneurial project. It is for people who have creative and innovative ideas and want to see them through to fruition, either as a startup entrepreneur or as a change agent in existing organisations.
The unique one- or two-year intensive program is designed for entrepreneurs and innovators. The flexible modular structure of the program allows you to study in stages while developing and working on your entrepreneurial or innovation project.

Applicants for the Executive MBA program must have completed a UTS recognised bachelor's degree, or an equivalent or higher qualification, or submitted other evidence of general and professional qualifications that demonstrates potential to pursue graduate studies.

Students who complete the UTS Graduate Certificate in Executive Business Practice (C11327) or Graduate Certificate in Executive Management (C11338) require at least a credit average for admission into the EMBA program.
Please note, the English proficiency requirement for international students or local applicants with international qualifications is: Academic IELTS: 7.0 overall with a writing score of 6.5; or TOEFL: paper based: 584-609 overall, internet based: 94-101 overall with a writing score of 24; or AE6: Pass; or PTE: 65-72 overall with a writing score 58; or CAE: 185-190 with a writing score 176.
Applicants without a formal academic qualification may be considered for the Graduate Certificate with extensive managerial experience, and evidence of general and professional qualifications that demonstrate the potential to pursue higher study. Upon successful completion of the Graduate Certificate with at least a credit average the student can transition into the EMBA program.
With a dynamic mix of core and elective subjects, intensive learning and leadership labs and experiential strategic design studios, the EMBA and EMBAe allow you to map your own learning journey.
Core subjects bring you up to speed with the latest thinking in key business disciplines. Subjects including Applied Financial Management, Accounting Practices and Tools, Delivering Customer Value, Business Analytics, Business and Political Economy, and Strategies and Business Models are delivered online, whereas subjects including Adaptive Leadership Lab and Strategic Design Studio are delivered in intensive block mode on campus.
Stream subjects in Corporate Transformation, Nation Building, and Entrepreneurship enable you to deepen your knowledge and apply new skills by engaging in research and real problem solving for your own projects. These subjects are delivered in a blended model with between 10 and 40 hours per subject on campus.
You can choose from a range of Elective subjects to suit your level of experience and interests. Some options include: Organisation Position and Performance; Valuation, Capital Structure and Budgeting; Data, Algorithms and Meaning; Behavioural Decision Making; Macro Sustainability Impacts; Decision Making Uncertainty; Digital and Social Media Marketing; Applied Governance and Risk Management; Transforming Workforce Capability; Navigating Managerial Dilemmas; and Global Business Practicum.
The curriculum is designed as a mix of core subjects and electives that are shared with the EMBA and a set of integrated entrepreneurship stream subjects that build your capabilities and confidence as you progress through the program. We generally recommend starting in March but you can also join the program in July or November.
