Masters (Coursework)
Graduates from the Master of Professional Engineering are eligible to be considered for higher research degrees such as the Master of Research or PhD studies.
The program is accredited by Engineers Australia and graduates are eligible for Graduate membership at the Professional Engineer level.
To be eligible for advanced standing entry:
You are required to satisfy the applicable English language requirements and this degree requires a minimum of IELTS 6.5 or equivalent. If you do not meet the English language requirements you may apply to study a University-approved English language program.
You may be eligible for recognition of prior learning if you have previously studied or have relevant work experience. This will help to reduce the number of courses that you need to study to finish your program.

Upon completion of the Master of Professional Engineering (Mechatronics and Robotic Engineering), you will emerge equipped to contribute significantly to various sectors, such as medical technology, transportation systems, mining resource extraction, power generation, distribution, renewable energy systems, electric vehicles, and even spacecraft and satellites. The skill set acquired through this program positions you for specific roles outlined by the Engineers Australia Mechatronics Field of Practice, encompassing positions like robotics engineers, robotics design engineer, research mechatronic engineer, or automation engineer.
To complete this degree students must complete 12 units. Most courses (similar to 'subjects') are valued at 1 unit.

This degree has a mandatory attendance requirement for some of the residential school courses. All students will have the opportunity to come on-campus for residential schools, where you will attend face-to-face lectures and tutorials to gain practical experience, use facilities and specialist equipment, and meet staff and other students.
