UniSQ's Bachelor of Health (Honours) (Nursing) provides you with an ideal platform to expand and develop knowledge within nursing. You will learn research techniques and apply them to the area in the health sector you're most passionate about.
Under the guidance of our leading researchers, you will be responsible for planning and executing a relevant research project, emerging with refined research skills, as well as specialist knowledge in nursing.
In the Nursing specialisation, you will have the opportunity to delve deeper into the scientific foundation of clinical practice, prevention of disease and disability, enhancement of palliative care and many other, critical and rewarding health practices. Your research could have the potential to impact practices within public and private hospitals, as well as community health, Indigenous health, occupational health, rural practice and much more.

Once you've completed the Bachelor of Health (Honours) you can choose to embark on further study with UniSQ's Master of Nursing or Doctor of Philosophy.

Entry requirements

Entry requirements

Completion of an Australian bachelor degree, or equivalent, in health or a related discipline, with a minimum GPA of 5.0.
Applicants need both supervisory and honours committee approval prior to enrolment.

English language requirements

You are required to satisfy the applicable English language requirements and this degree requires a minimum of IELTS 6.5 or equivalent. If you do not meet the English language requirements you may apply to study a University-approved English language program.

Recognition of prior learning or work experience

You may be eligible for recognition of prior learning if you have previously studied or have relevant work experience. This will help to reduce the number of courses that you need to study to finish your program.
