Have you ever read an article, online or in the paper, that's impacted you and shaped your thinking? How we engage with the world, in cultural, economic and political contexts is influenced heavily by the media.
Direct your research into language, film, television, culture, social media or mass communication and develop an in-depth understanding of how these areas can dynamically shape people's lives in a media-driven world.
Complete courses in high-level research design and method.
Complete a dissertation under the expert supervision of UniSQ academics, in an area of your interest.

Further study

This degree will also serve as a pathway to further study, such as the Master of Research or the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD).

Entry requirements

Entry requirements

Completion of an Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent) in Arts or a related discipline, with a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 5.0.

English language requirements

You are required to satisfy the applicable English language requirements and this degree requires a minimum of IELTS 6.0 or equivalent. If you do not meet the English language requirements you may apply to study a University-approved English language program.

Recognition of prior learning or work experience

You may be eligible for recognition of prior learning if you have previously studied or have relevant work experience. This will help to reduce the number of courses that you need to study to finish your program.
