The Robyn Parkes Postgraduate Nursing Grant has been established through a bequest from Robyn Parkes who passed away in late 2011. Robyn was an extraordinary and creative nurse who had a highly diversified nursing career with an unwavering commitment to the progression of the profession and the development of nursing staff.
The grant will be offered to external postgraduate nursing students (Master of Nursing and Graduate Certificate in Nursing) from rural or isolated areas who are enrolled on a full-time or part-time basis basis and will provide financial assistance for the costs associated with undertaking postgraduate study.
Applicants must be Australian citizens or Permanent Residents of Australia.
To be eligible, applicants must complete a written statement (maximum 500 words) outlining their career goals and future plans and how the grant will help them achieve their ambitions. The statement should also outline their nursing philosophy and, where relevant, the nature of any thesis/project to be undertaken.
Recipients will be selected on the basis of a personal written statement and academic merit based on their Grade Point Average (GPA).
Preference will be given to applicants that demonstrate a real passion and commitment to the field of nursing.

The total value of the grant is $1,000. Payment will be made after the Study Period 2 census date.
