About this scholarship

The Architecture Museum Travel Grant supports full-time or part-time first year Master of Architecture (DMAE) students with the costs associated with undertaking travel as part of their Research Methods and Research Practices courses. The Grant also aims to encourage students to engage in their research with the collections of the Architecture Museum in the School of Art, Architecture and Design.

Applicants must answer the online eligibility questions and provide a personal written statement (500 words) addressing the following criteria:

  • Significance of the project that the grant will be supporting.
  • How the travel undertaken, using the grant, will contribute to the project.
  • How materials in the Architecture Museum will be incorporated into the project.

Selection of the recipient(s) will be made based on academic merit (demonstrated by the applicant's Unofficial Academic Transcript) and how their personal written statement addresses the eligibility criteria.

Preference may be given to applicants undertaking a project with an historic connection.
