In your first year of study you'll study specialist telecommunications areas such as communication systems, network infrastructure and optical communications. You'll also have the option to get industry experience through a work-based project.
In second year you'll take further specialist telecommunications courses in areas such as telecommunications networks, wireless and mobile communications; and information theory and coding.
Key to this degree is the development and application of research methods and skills. These will be invaluable when you begin work on your minor thesis.
