About this scholarship

The Robert Bage Memorial Scholarship was established by Mrs Edward Bage in memory of her son Edward Frederick Robert Bage, BCE, Lt Royal Australian Engineers, Captain, 3rd Field Company Engineers First Division AIF, who was killed at Gallipoli on 7 May 1915.

The scholarship is open to research higher degree students and is awarded annually for the purpose of field work overseas or study at an overseas University or research institution.

The recipient is selected based on the strength of their written application.

Applications will be assessed on the following criteria:

  • The merit of the proposed field trip
  • Strength of the applicant’s research
  • Prior funding opportunities
