The Graduate Diploma in Data Science is an ideal starting point if you're interested in joining this booming industry and don't have a background in computer science or statistics.

The Graduate Diploma in Data Science is a 100-point course, made up of:

• Core statistics subjects (50 points)
• Core computer science subjects (50 points).

In the course, you'll cover:

• Statistical modelling and inference
• Algorithms, machine learning and data mining
• Database systems
• Using a range of methods to conduct analyses
• Reporting on analytical findings.

This course is the perfect preparation for the the Master of Data Science.

When you successfully complete the Graduate Diploma with a weighted average mark of above 65%, you'll be eligible to apply for the Master of Data Science, receiving up to 50 credit points of advanced standing. This means that you can complete both the Graduate Diploma in Data Science and the Master of Data Science in just 2.5 years of study.

The statistics stream of this course begins in January 2022, all other streams of this course commence in February 2022.
