The Graduate Certificate of Environment has many faces too. It's a 6-month full time (or equivalent part-time) course that gives you the chance to explore a huge range of subjects that span the full breadth of this fascinating and diverse discipline.

You'll start to develop specialised knowledge and technical skills in an environmental discipline or field of practice, and graduate with the confidence to use this know-how to create positive changes in our environment.

What you will learn

Course structure

The Graduate Certificate in Environment is a 50-point program (typically four subjects), made up of:

  • Core subject (12.5 points) in Sustainability Governance and Leadership
  • Elective subjects (37.5 points) from an approved list in consultation with an academic advisor.

Elective subjects can include an applied research project, an industry internship, or an overseas field trip.
