The Graduate Certificate in Disaster and Terror Medicine is a unique program that provides an evidence-based introduction to the key elements of this specialty. Developed by the Department of Critical Care in consultation with industry, this course draws on the extensive knowledge and real-world experience of Australian and international experts, including leading emergency physician, Professor George Braitberg AM, who heads up the department's emergency medicine program.

Gain hands-on experience while learning from expert educators. Equip yourself with evidence-based best practices to confidently respond to disaster and terror events through a blended learning model of online delivery and in-person intensives. Your online learning experience will be further enriched with an intensive 8-day face-to-face program (two days per subject), providing you with the opportunity to put what you've learned into practice through a series of bespoke workshops.

Designed in accordance with industry standards, this course has been approved for 680 CPD hours by the Australasian College of Emergency Medicine (ACEM CPD hours) and the College of Intensive Care Medicine (CICM CPD Accreditation Category 1B: Active or Interactive Self Learning). The course can also be claimed towards CPD for the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA).
