About this course

If you are currently employed in an informatics or IT role within the public sector and looking for career advancement, then the part-time UC Graduate Certificate in Government Informatics course could be the boost you need to take your career to the next level.

This degree is delivered as part of the Digital Graduate Program run by the Australian Federal Government's Digital Transformation Agency in conjunction with a public sector sponsor organisation (which is usually your current place of employment), and is aimed at fostering future government leaders in IT.

Over the course, you will be given the opportunity to advance your technical knowledge, develop your theoretical skills, and learn how to communicate complex ideas and make high-level management decisions within a government environment.

At the completion of your degree, you can use your newfound knowledge to look for innovative ways to improve the way informatics is perceived and dealt with by your own government department, or, if you wish, explore a range of potential public sector employment opportunities in departments as varied as Defence, Finance, Health, Social Services, Foreign Affairs and Trade, and more.
