Bachelor (Honours)
If you have a Bachelor of Nursing degree with a Credit or higher average; are a clinical thinker, innovator and not afraid to back your ideas with clearly researched and articulated arguments, then this one-year honours degree is your chance to get noticed.
The Bachelor of Nursing (Honours) course is designed to expand your nursing knowledge and encourage you to use quantifiable research and fact-based evidence to develop new, more effective nursing practice solutions.
In preparation for this research project, you'll undertake two coursework units which will give you a solid foundation of research theory and practice, before choosing a topic of interest to explore.
Once selected, you'll investigate a real-world clinical nursing issue using evidence-based inquiry, a literature review and a research plan, before collecting the data, analysing it and then interpreting your results - before presenting your argument and ideas in thesis form.
If you're keen to continue down the nursing postgraduate study path, this course offers an excellent foundation for UC's Master of Nursing (Research) and the Professional Doctorate in Nurse Practitioner (Research) degrees.
A completed Bachelor of Nursing with a credit or higher average.
