About this course

The Master of Professional Accounting (Chartered Accounting) has a duration of 2 or 2.5 years (depending on prior learning) and explores all aspects of financial accounting, management accounting and auditing. It also addresses the application of relevant taxation and corporate law, the key financial and economic principles that influence business performance, and the application of analytical tools to better inform business decisions. You will receive specialised training in accounting and business-related software and, through completion of contemporary case studies and business simulations, learn how to apply accounting knowledge to resolve complex business problems. For the advanced units in the CA program, you will receive customised training in small classes as well as ongoing mentoring from experienced UWA academics.

Admission requirements

To be considered for admission to this course an applicant must have-
(1)(a) a Bachelor's degree, or an equivalent qualification*, as recognised by UWA; and either:
(b) the equivalent of a UWA weighted average mark of at least 50 per cent;
or
(c) at least two years professional experience in a relevant occupation; or
(2) completed a Graduate Certificate in Commerce at UWA.

*Applicants who have a Bachelor's Degree with a major in accounting, or an equivalent qualification, are not eligible for admission.
