About this course

Entrepreneurship and innovation are critical elements of modern business. The ability to successfully manage uncertainty and quickly adapt to changing business conditions is paramount. The Graduate Certificate in Entrepreneurship and Innovation is designed for graduates of all disciplines and also for experienced professionals who did not undertake an undergraduate degree. Candidates are typically already working in business or have started their own business venture, but have not been exposed to formal learning in entrepreneurship nor the various methods through which to enhance innovation. Units are specifically designed to confer practical, real-world, skill-sets relevant to small business management, the management of technology and innovation and the practice of entrepreneurship. A high degree of engagement with fast-growing emerging businesses is a cornerstone aspect of the course.
You'll study under experienced School staff, who have had both academic and practical business experience at a high level. These individuals come from a variety of specialisations, undertake research into modern business including start-ups, and many have active roles in businesses including as consultants and mentors.

The Graduate Certificate in Entrepreneurship and Innovation comprises three core units and elective unit, all of which can be credited towards the Flexible MBA at UWA (which requires completion of a further eight units for a total of twelve units).
