About this course

Covering the cornerstone areas of modern business, this practical business course equips participants with the skills to advance their business careers and reach decision-making roles in their chosen industry or profession. The Graduate Certificate in Business is designed for graduates of non-business disciplines and also for experienced professionals who did not undertake an undergraduate degree. Candidates are typically already working in business, but have not been exposed to formal learning in business disciplines such as economics, marketing, organisational behaviour and accounting. The course is suitable for those with a non-business background including technical disciplines such as science, health and engineering who wish to move into business decision-making, non-technical and general management roles. You'll study under experienced School staff, who have had both academic and practical business experience at a high level. These individuals come from a variety of specialisations, undertake research into modern business, and many have active roles in businesses including as directors, consultants and mentors. The Graduate Certificate in Business comprises four core units which can be credited towards the Flexible MBA at UWA (which requires completion of a further eight units for a total of twelve units).
