Prerequisites: first teaching area

For the first teaching area at least three quarters of a year (6 QUT units) of successful full-time recognised degree (or higher) study completed in a major area or equivalent. Completed study can be from different courses.

You must nominate your first and second preferred first teaching area on your QTAC application. You will be considered in order of your preferred first teacher area and if you are not eligible for your nominated first teaching areas you will be considered for alternative first teaching area. If you are offered a place you will only be offered one first teaching area which will be detailed in your QTAC application and in your QTAC offer email.
