Our Research Masters with Training is an 18-month full-time (or three years part-time) degree designed for:
You will be required to complete all research training units with a minimum to progress to the thesis portion of the degree. To graduate you will be required to produce a thesis consistent with the policy and regulations at Murdoch. When you graduate, you will be assessed and may be considered eligible for admission to Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) candidature.
Candidature for research degrees is offered in all disciplines. Murdoch encourages research in interdisciplinary areas as well as in the basic disciplines.

To be eligible for admission as a candidate for a Research Masters with Training (RMT), an applicant must: * have a Bachelor Degree in the same or cognate discipline (AQF level 7); or * have a Bachelor Degree in a different discipline (AQF level 7) and: a) have successfully completed a graduate course in the same discipline requiring at least one year of equivalent full-time study (AQF level 8); or b) satisfy the Dean of Graduate Research with evidence of professional attainments (of at least two years' full-time duration or equivalent) relevant to the proposed research discipline; or * satisfy the Dean of Graduate Research with evidence of significant scholarly or professional attainments equivalent to AQF level 8.
