Completing the Graduate Certificate of Marketing means that you are on the path to obtaining Deakin's Graduate Diploma of Marketing, and ultimately a Master of Marketing degree.

Entry requirements

Minimum admission criteria:

  • Bachelor degree or higher OR
  • two years of relevant work experience*, OR
  • evidence of academic capability judged to be equivalent

*Note: Business experience either in a marketing role or in a position with business responsibilities in a marketing related field, such as communications, advertising, market research and/or sales

Course structure

To complete the Graduate Certificate of Marketing, students must complete 4 core units plus completion of compulsory 0-credit point module, MAI010 Academic Integrity Module.

Credit for prior study or work

The University aims to provide students with as much credit as possible for approved prior study or informal learning which exceeds the normal entrance requirements for the course and is within the constraints of the course regulations. Students are required to complete a minimum of one-third of the course at Deakin University, or four credit points, whichever is the greater. In the case of certificates, including graduate certificates, a minimum of two credit points within the course must be completed at Deakin.
