Course structure

To complete the Bachelor of Construction Management (Honours)/Bachelor of Property and Real Estate, students must attain 40 credit points.

Course requirements for both the Bachelor of Property and Real Estate (M348) and the Bachelor of Construction Management (Honours) (S346) must be satisfied.

The course comprises a total of 40 credit points, which must include the following:

  • 15 core units and 1 Work Integrated Learning (WIL) course elective from the Bachelor of Property and Real Estate
  • 23 core units (24 credit points) from the Bachelor of Construction Management (Honours)
  • SRA010 Safety Induction Program (0-credit point compulsory unit)
  • DAI001 Academic Integrity Module (0-credit point compulsory unit)
  • STP010 Career Tools for Employability (0-credit point compulsory unit)

Students are required to meet the University's academic progress and conduct requirements.

Credit for prior study or work

The University aims to provide students with as much credit as possible for approved prior study or informal learning which exceeds the normal entrance requirements for the course and is within the constraints of the course regulations. Students are required to complete a minimum of one-third of the course at Deakin University, or four credit points, whichever is the greater. In the case of certificates, including graduate certificates, a minimum of two credit points within the course must be completed at Deakin.
