VU Online's Master of Teaching (Primary Education) is for students who want to become primary school teachers, empowering you to make a positive difference to children, families and communities. With VU Online, you will develop the skillset required to effectively teach subjects in all areas of the primary curriculum.With VU Online, you will spend more time where it matters - in primary school classrooms, gaining hands-on, practical experience. You will have the opportunity to apply your learning over 65 days of placement, allowing you to gain essential experience and improve your professional practice through self-reflection. Students in this course will have to sit the LANTITE test as per Victorian Government requirements for initial teacher education.

Entry requirements

  • Completion of an Australian Bachelor degree (or equivalent).
  • Applicants will also be asked to complete an assessment of their non-academic attributes.
  • Applicants with a Bachelor degree from countries other than Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, the United States of America, Canada or the Republic of Ireland will be required to complete IELTS (or equivalent): Overall 7.0 with Listening 7.5, Reading 6.5, Writing 6.5, Speaking 7.5.
  • Students should note that they will be subject to a Working With Children Check before practice placements, in accordance with the Department of Education and Training policy.
