Much of the course is online, making it suitable for both local and international students. You must attend one week in Melbourne, and two exciting weeks in Spain.

To attain the Master of Sports Science (Football Performance), students will be required to complete 144 credit points (equivalent to 12 units) consisting of:

• 96 credit points (equivalent to 8 units) core unit
• 12 credit points (equivalent to 1 unit) elective unit. Students to select from the elective options provided. Please check any pre-requisite requirements prior to enrolling.
• 36 credit points (equivalent to 2 units) comprising either:
• OPTION 1 Major research project (Minor Thesis unit)

• OPTION 2 Capstone task (Applied Research Project unit)

Graduates from the Master of Sports Science (Football Performance) can aim for the following roles:

• head of strength and conditioning.

Salaries

Sports coaches, instructors and officials earn, on average, A$60,800 (JobOutlook). A masters degree will help you aim for the higher end of the salary scale.

If you have completed study with another university or institution and believe you are eligible to receive credit for skills and past study, you can apply for advanced standing.

Applications for advanced standing can be made after a discussion with your course coordinator or academic adviser.
