UOW's Work Health and Safety programs have been developed in conjunction with a wide range of industry sectors to address the complex nature of occupational health and safety in the workplace.

The program has a flexible mode of delivery, with online content delivered up front, and block teaching sessions of 3–5 days for exploration and application of subject material. On campus teaching components utilise a range of resources, including the well-equipped OHS Laboratory.

The Master of Work Health and Safety (Risk Management) provides an intensive professional program of study in the area of occupational health and safety, specialising in Risk Management. The knowledge and skills you develop throughout the course will be applied to a research-based capstone workplace project in the final stage of the degree program. This will give you a high level of evidence-based professional practice in occupational health and safety.

A recognised 3-year Bachelors degree with a major in a Science or Health-related discipline; or a degree in another relevant area (for example Engineering) which contains at least one year of science-based subjects. Applicants with other relevant qualifications and/or work experience may be considered.
