The Master of Work Health and Safety provides specialisation in
Risk Management,
Occupational Hygiene and
Ergonomics. It is intended for students who want to pursue careers in these specialist fields. The Risk Management specialisation gives student the opportunity to develop advanced skills in an area of high employment demand. Accreditation for the Master of Work Health and Safety (Risk Management) is being sought with the Australian OHS Educators Accreditation Board (AOHSEAB).
This degreeUOW's Work Health and Safety programs have been developed in conjunction with a wide range of industry sectors to address the complex nature of occupational health and safety in the workplace.
The program has a flexible mode of delivery, with online content delivered up front, and block teaching sessions of 3โ5 days for exploration and application of subject material. On campus teaching components utilise a range of resources, including the well-equipped OHS Laboratory.
What you will studyThe Master of Work Health and Safety (Risk Management) provides an intensive professional program of study in the area of occupational health and safety, specialising in Risk Management. The knowledge and skills you develop throughout the course will be applied to a research-based capstone workplace project in the final stage of the degree program.
