Designed for graduates with a background in mathematics and statistics, this degree provides the opportunity to consolidate and expand your existing mathematics and statistics knowledge while being equipped in the practice of mathematics in other disciplines such as computer science, business, science, and psychology.

You will also develop skills in undertaking research on mathematical or statistical problems that arise in other disciplines, including how to effectively communicate and synthesise complex information with others. You will also complete a research or coursework-focused capstone project.

There is an opportunity to specialise further in areas including data science, financial mathematics, or applied statistics. Students who do not wish to choose a specialisation will work with the Academic Program Director to tailor your subject choices to align with your career goals and interests.

Special emphasis is placed on preparing graduates with practical experiences for employment across a range of industries.
