Masters (Coursework)
Cyber attacks are on the rise globally. When you study cyber security, you are embarking on a journey of continuous learning in order to keep organisations safe from cyber criminals and cyber threats.
Cyber security has been identified as one of the strategic priorities in Australia to meet the demands of all sectors and industries. The cyber security major will equip you with the knowledge and practical tools you need through real-world learning experiences including running an autopsy of a real cyber attack, conducting experiments and analysis on various types of online and offline cyber attacks, as well as an introduction to programming, risk management, and database and web security.
Throughout the degree, you will study subjects including python programming for cyber security, databases and security, cyber security risk and risk management, artificial intelligence for cyber security, and web security. You will also be able to put theory into practice with an individual capstone project.
The Master of Computer Science gives graduates the ability to solve complex authentic problems by integrating computer science methods with effective management strategies, and by developing and deploying computer applications.
It can also prepare ICT professionals for entry into research degrees: Master of Philosophy and PhD.
