Entry requirements

  • Completed undergraduate degree (at AQF 7 level) from an Australian higher education provider in a health or human welfare studies and services field, or equivalent overseas qualification, or
  • Alternatively, completed undergraduate degree (at AQF 7 level) from an Australian higher education provider in any discipline, AND
  • At least five years relevant professional and/or industry experience in a health or human welfare studies and services field.

Admission to most postgraduate coursework courses at the University of Tasmania require qualifications equivalent to an Australian bachelor degree. Applicants must achieve the required grade in their qualifying studies, meet any prerequisite subjects, and meet English language requirements to be eligible for an offer.

  • 1 Apply relevant theories, methodologies and frameworks to the redesign of healthcare services, and interpret the influence of contextual factors operating at different levels within your healthcare sector, relevant to health service redesign.
  • 2 Develop critical-thinking skills, drawing on knowledge of relevant theories, frameworks, and contexts, to improve practices within a person-centred healthcare context.
  • 3 Select and apply relevant frameworks, methodologies and sources of evidence to analyse and implement contextually fit-for-purpose healthcare improvements
