About this scholarship

 The University of Sydney Indigenous International Exchange Scholarships are awarded to students who have been accepted into the International Exchange Program through the International Office.

To be considered eligible, students must:

  • be of Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent. Indigenous identity is subject to verification by the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Student Support within the Student Transition and Retention Team at the University of Sydney.
  • be enrolled in an undergraduate award course or postgraduate coursework and/or research course at the University of Sydney in exchange year
  • have been accepted and provide proof of acceptance into the Exchange Program through the International Office
  • provide Referees Report from Academic Supervisor

Value: Scholarship is for one year only and is valued at $5,000. The recipient will be required to refund all or part of the scholarship received if s/he subsequently withdraws from the nominated program. Scholarships are awarded for study in the nominated exchange program year and no deferment of the scholarship is allowed. The scholarship shall be terminated if the recipient withdraws from the agreed exchange program. Once terminated, a scholarship will not be reinstated.
