About this scholarship

Background: This scholarship was established to enable those of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander heritage, or those conducting research in complementary and herbal medicines to engage in postgraduate research studies in the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Sydney.

Open to:

  • Must be an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident or New Zealand citizen at the time application is submitted to study in the Faculty of Pharmacy.
  • Must have completed a Bachelor Degree with First Class Honours (or H1 equivalent results) or completed a 4 year degree with an outstanding record of professional and/or research achievements since graduation.
  • Applicants with a Bachelors and Masters degree (coursersework but enough research components to be accepted into PhD) are also eligible.

Value: The scholarship shall be valued at the same rate as the Research Training Program (RTP), and indexed annually.

Duration: The scholarship shall only be tenable whilst the successful applicant is enrolled in PhD studies in the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Sydney. Periods of study already undertaken towards the degree prior to the commencement of the award will be deducted from the maximum period of tenure.
