About this scholarship

Established in 2015, this Scholarship has been generously donated by the Eureka Benevolent Foundation for students enrolled in the Master of Teaching in Secondary Education (Mathematics or Science methods) at the University of Sydney. 

The purpose of this Scholarship is to raise educational outcomes in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) subject disciplines for students in disadvantaged schools by encouraging high achieving graduates from STEM bachelor degrees with a desire to work in disadvantaged high schools to undertake STEM teacher education.

To be eligible for the Scholarship, applicants must be:

  1. Gaduates from STEM bachelor degrees, and
  2. Have an unconditional offer of admission or are enrolled for full time studies in the Master of Teaching in Secondary Education (Mathematics or Science methods) offered by the Sydney School of Education and Social Work within the University of Sydney.

Value: $12,000 per annum
