Course Description

Designed for professionals already working in the area of sleep medicine, or for clinical graduates wishing to develop expertise in the field, the Master of Medicine (Sleep Medicine) provides up-to'date knowledge of theory and practice. The program is delivered online and provides training in clinical, theoretical and research techniques.

The importance of sleep in maintaining good health and longevity is well recognised. Sleep medicine is a sub-specialty that impacts a number of fields, including respiratory medicine, cardiology, neurology, paediatrics, dentistry and psychology.

Restructured and revised in 2016, this course provides advanced postgraduate training for those pursuing a career in sleep medicine, or for professionals already working in the field. This program develops an excellent understanding of the theoretical and practical aspects of sleep medicine. You will learn from internationally recognised clinicians, academics and researchers who have had a major impact on the advancement of research and treatment of sleep disorders.

For more than 20 years this program has been training domestic and international clinicians from diverse professional backgrounds, including physicians, medical registrars, dentists, scientists, nurses and psychologists. This course is suitable for graduates with either a medical degree or a background in a relevant health science discipline who have experience in sleep medicine.
