About this course

The Master of Medicine (Advanced) (Psychiatry) will extend the knowledge and understanding of the neuro-scientific basis of psychiatry and expertise in critical appraisal and research design obtained in the Master of Medicine (Psychiatry).

This course is only available to students currently enrolled in the Master of Medicine (Psychiatry) who meet the requirements for admission.

Applicants need to have achieved an average mark of at least a 75 per cent in 24 credit points of compulsory and/or stream specific units of study.

Entry requirements

Admission to the Master of Medicine (Advanced) (Psychiatry) requires:

completion of the requirements for the Master of Medicine (Psychiatry)
an average mark of at least 75% in 24 credit points of compulsory and/or stream units of study; and
any other requirements as stated by the faculty at the time of application.

There is no separate application required to apply for a CSP. Once you apply for admission, if you are successful in securing a CSP, you will receive notification via an offer of admission.
