The Critical Care Medicine program has been designed by critical care clinicians for doctors interested in emergency medicine, anaesthetics and intensive care medicine.
Clinical and academic leaders will help you develop the knowledge and skills needed to become a well-rounded, informed and analytical clinician. Designed for busy working doctors, this course is delivered online with some units of study that include intensive (1 or 2 day) face-to-face workshops.
The structure of the program is flexible and allows you to pace your study and tailor your learning to your needs and interests. Coursework is provided in anatomy, pathology, physiology and pharmacology to help you prepare for college barrier examinations. In anaesthetics and intensive care medicine, you can pursue highly coveted expertise in neuromonitoring, pain management, mechanical ventilation or extracorporeal life support. If emergency medicine is your interest, you may choose coursework in retrieval medicine, point of care ultrasound or clinical reasoning and communication.
There are a wide range of subject areas to choose from and you can develop valuable non-technical skills in teaching, simulation and research.
