The Master of Laws (Research) is a postgraduate research degree designed to expand on your theoretical and specialist knowledge of the law and take your research skills to a higher level. You will undertake a significant piece of research in a specialised field of your choice and contribute to the knowledge base of the legal community through an academic dissertation. Your studies will provide you with skills in undertaking and evaluating legal research using research methodologies and techniques to resolve particular legal problems.

Entry requirements

Entry Requirements 3 or 4-year bachelor degree in law or equivalent from a recognised university Outline of dissertation topic Admission is dependent upon the Faculty's capacity to supervise the proposed projects. Prospective candidates should consult with the Associate Dean (Research) before preparing their project proposals. Research concentrations are updated periodically. English Language Requirements You are required to satisfy the applicable English language requirements. This program requires a minimum of IELTS 6. 5 or equivalent. If you do not meet the English language requirements you may apply to study a University-approved English language program. We can help
