The new Sir Ninian Stephen Menzies Law Scholarship will enhance Australia’s capacity to grapple with the most pressing legal issues confronting our nation's future.
From 2018 to 2020, the Sir Ninian Stephen Menzies Law Scholarship will focus on the legal implications of cyber security breaches for the nation. Cyber security breaches have grave implications for our citizens and community, the government and business sector.
The Sir Ninian Stephen Menzies Law Scholarship is named in honour of one of this country’s finest legal minds, former governor general and former Chair of the Menzies Foundation. We believe that Sir Ninian would have been intrigued by the complexity of the rapidly growing international challenge of cyber security.
We are delighted that the Honourable Justice Susan Kenny, a former associate of Sir Ninian, will chair the scholarship selection committee.
Applications for the first round of scholarships will open in November 2018.
