Scholarship Information
The Australian Government Research Training Program (RTP) Stipend Scholarship provides a living allowance for high-quality research higher degree students. They are awarded on academic merit and research experience and/or potential. The RTP also includes a tuition fee off-set for all domestic Research Masters or PhD students. It is normal for recipients to undertake study on a full-time basis, although, subject to strict criteria laid down by the Australian Commonwealth Government, the award may be offered for part-time study.
RTP Round Dates:

Closes: 29 September
Stipend:
AU$26,682 (2017 rate) per annum tax free for full-time students, paid in fortnightly installments.
AU$13,341 (2017 rate) per annum, taxable, for part-time students, paid in fortnightly installments.
Maximum Duration:
Three years full-time for a doctoral degree, two years for a research Master's degree. The duration of an RTP stipend scholarship cannot be extended.

Referee Reports
Applicants must provide contact details of referees on the scholarship application. Applicants must request their referees to submit their written reports directly to the University using the Referee's Report Form.
