The Master of Nursing at UNE is delivered online and flexibly to enable post graduate nurses to engage in, improve and advance nursing practice in contemporary health care, where nurses continue to make significant contributions and take leadership roles.The course has a strong emphasis on the development and application of evidence-based practice and scholarship in contemporary healthcare practice, education and research settings.
To consolidate learning Master of Nursing students will undertake a capstone unit project in their final period of enrolment. This will enable students to apply their knowledge, investigate practice problems, or professional issues and seek innovative solutions to concerns in healthcare.
The course provides a pathway to the Doctor of Philosophy and other doctoral programs for those students who meet other entry requirements to these programs.
A candidate shall:
(a) hold the AQF Level 7 degree of Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent; or
(b) hold an AQF Level 8 Graduate Certificate in Nursing; or
(c) hold an AQF Level 8 Graduate Diploma in Nursing; or
(d) satisfy UNE by means of other relevant* professional experience by submitting a Statement of Service from your employer/s and a resume outlining a minimum of three years' full-time (or equivalent) relevant* professional experience and training undertaken in the past 10 years.

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
